We will have another two hour delayed start of school in Westbrook today. This will give crews time to plow and treat streets, sidewalks, and school lots. As you know, a two hour delay means that schools will open two hours after the regular time and buses will pick up students about two hours after their usual time. There are no before school activities and there will be no PreK classes. Be safe today!

Roads are very icy this morning but they are being treated and expected to improve. Because of this, we will have a two hour delayed start of school in Westbrook today, January 25. That means that schools will open two hours after their scheduled times and buses will pick up students about two hours after their usual time. There are no before school activities and PreK classes are canceled. Please be careful walking and driving this morning!

Mark your calendars! The Valentine's Day Breakfast is on Saturday, February 10th, from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Suggested donations are $5 per adult and $3 per child. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

It's finally feeling like winter in Maine and the second graders are loving it!

Saccarappa students are being dismissed three hours early today. Bus 11 (first run), Bus 19, and Bus 25 will leave here at 11:55 a.m. Bus 32 (first run) will leave Saccarappa at 12:00 p.m., and all other buses will be dismissed at 12:20 p.m. LEARNS and Westbrook Awesome are closed. If your child typically attends these after-school programs, please call the office before 9:30 a.m. with their alternate dismissal plan. Stay safe, everyone!

I’d like to get everyone home before the height of the storm today, so we will be closing early. Dismissal at WHS and WMS will be at 11:30am. Dismissal at Canal, Congin, and Saccarappa will be at 12:20pm. There will be no PreK classes today and there will be no after school activities or practices. Be safe in the storm!

The Mason Saccarappa Lodge is once again sponsoring the Bikes for Books program throughout Westbrook's elementary schools. This program aims to motivate students to read with a chance to win a brand-new bike! Two students in each grade K-4 will be awarded a bike and helmet at each school. All students need to do to earn an entry is read either five short books or 100 pages. Submissions are due Monday, April 22nd.

Saccarappa's Student Council has organized a Sock Drive! The students are collecting new, unused socks for local families in need. Please consider supporting this initiative. The sock drive will continue until February 16th.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Winter Festival this past weekend. We had a lot of fun celebrating the start of winter with our Saccarappa School community.

It was an exciting last day on Wednesday! It started with a sing-along performance by the WHS Jazz Band and Chamber Singers, and then we celebrated being Safe, Ready, and Respectful with a whole school traveling dance party! Enjoy the break, and Happy Holidays, everyone!

Thank you to our friends from Altrusa for reading to our Kindergarten classes last week and letting each student choose a book to take home.

There is no school at Saccarappa today, December 19th, due to the power outage.

Because power has not yet been restored at Saccarappa School, there is NO SCHOOL today at Saccarappa. At all other schools, we will have a 2 hour delayed start. That means that schools will open two hours after their regular opening and buses will pick up students 2 hours later than their usual times. This will give crews time to address road conditions and power outages, and extra time to get to work and school. There are no PK classes. Breakfast will be available when students arrive.

Saccarappa School is dismissing at 1:45pm today due to a power outage. All other schools will dismiss on schedule at this point. We will let you know if this changes. Thank you for your patience as we get home safely today. Be safe!
