Students versus Teachers! The Saccarappa College Knowledge teams took on the fourth-grade teachers yesterday, and the students won! Next up is the State Championship at Bowdoin College. Good luck, Shining Stars!

It's been a Staff Only Spirit Week at Saccarappa, but the staff and students have had a blast! Each day, the staff coordinates their outfits, and the students guess the theme. We've had Dress Like the Students Day, College Day, and Stripes. We can't wait to see what tomorrow will be!

As of this afternoon, roads have mostly been cleared, the power is back on at Congin, and power is on track to be restored in that part of the city this evening. That means that schools will be open tomorrow! If anything changes, I will notify you in the morning. Otherwise, we can plan on a regular day at all schools. This includes the PreK program, Adult Education, and the LEARNS before and after school program at the Community Center.
Thank you to our Public Works crews and power company workers who have been hard at work all weekend.
I hope your power has been restored and that you have a great evening.

Congratulations to the Canal, Congin, and Saccarappa College Knowledge teams for an impressive competition today at the Performing Arts Center. Well done, students!

We will have another two hour delayed start of school in Westbrook today. This will give crews time to plow and treat streets, sidewalks, and school lots. As you know, a two hour delay means that schools will open two hours after the regular time and buses will pick up students about two hours after their usual time. There are no before school activities and there will be no PreK classes. Be safe today!

Roads are very icy this morning but they are being treated and expected to improve. Because of this, we will have a two hour delayed start of school in Westbrook today, January 25. That means that schools will open two hours after their scheduled times and buses will pick up students about two hours after their usual time. There are no before school activities and PreK classes are canceled. Please be careful walking and driving this morning!

Mark your calendars! The Valentine's Day Breakfast is on Saturday, February 10th, from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Suggested donations are $5 per adult and $3 per child. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

It's finally feeling like winter in Maine and the second graders are loving it!

Saccarappa students are being dismissed three hours early today. Bus 11 (first run), Bus 19, and Bus 25 will leave here at 11:55 a.m. Bus 32 (first run) will leave Saccarappa at 12:00 p.m., and all other buses will be dismissed at 12:20 p.m. LEARNS and Westbrook Awesome are closed. If your child typically attends these after-school programs, please call the office before 9:30 a.m. with their alternate dismissal plan. Stay safe, everyone!

I’d like to get everyone home before the height of the storm today, so we will be closing early. Dismissal at WHS and WMS will be at 11:30am. Dismissal at Canal, Congin, and Saccarappa will be at 12:20pm. There will be no PreK classes today and there will be no after school activities or practices. Be safe in the storm!
