Thank you to the PTO, the congregation at Stroudwater Church, and all the families who donated food to help keep staff fueled during our evening conferences. It was DELICIOUS and greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Did you sell pies for the PTO fundraiser? If so, you can pick them up tomorrow, November 8th, from 3:45-6:00 p.m. by the Saccarappa School playground.

Friday marks the last day of Bus Driver Appreciation Week, so be sure to thank your driver if you haven't already. Westbrook's Transportation Department is unstoppable! (except for at red lights and railroad tracks) Thank you, drivers! 🚌

It’s time to order your Saccarappa spirit wear! The online store will close on November 5th in order to process orders in time for the holidays. This year, the PTO will pick up all Saccarappa orders from Xtreme. The PTO will then coordinate with families whether the items will be picked up at Saccarappa or sent home with the child. Thank you for supporting this fundraiser! https://saccarappafall-com.itemorder.com/

Thank you to the Westbrook Fire Department for teaching Saccarappa's students about fire prevention. Dispatch Janelle, along with Firefighters Phil, Brendan, and Luke, put on an informative and entertaining presentation. Thank you!

I am proud to introduce our Room 24 Functional Life Skills Team. This crew loves silly jokes, is family-oriented, and they all live in Westbrook! We are incredibly fortunate to have these individuals supporting our students. Pictured from left to right: Brian Carmichael, Jamie Kosoff, Heather Caiazzo, and Sarah Benn.

Thank you to Casa Novello for the DELICIOUS lunch during today's staff in-service. The PTO sure knows how to keep us fueled for a day of learning and collaboration. Thank you!

On Thursday, we had our first Whole School Star Celebration! The students and staff celebrated Safe, Ready, and Respectful behaviors with a Playground Party! There was lots of dancing, laughing, and chalk art. It was a great way to head into the long weekend. Well done, Shining Stars!

Time to highlight another phenomenal team, our Multilingual Teachers! This crew works with students learning English as a second, third, or even fourth language! They have 81 total years in education and all have children of their own (some furry). They have all traveled abroad and LOVE caffeinated beverages. We are so lucky to have this crew supporting our ML students and families. Pictured from left to right: Isabel Rodriguez, Jess Hamel, Laura Nichols, Jaki Dimick, Alyssa Cammack, and Brittney Chapman.

Today is National School Custodian Day, and it's an honor to recognize this amazing team. Hilario, Bob, Ray, Ed, and Paul are the best. They are quick to support when help is needed, and their dedication and hard work show in every inch of our school. They go above and beyond to make sure our building is safe and something to be proud of. Thank you for all that you do for our staff and students. We appreciate you!

Next up, the Room 26 Functional Life Skills Team! These ladies enjoy Halloween music all year long, their favorite snack is popcorn, they adore FLS, and they love Saccarappa! Pictured from left to right: Misty Brown, Maureen McGonagle-Smith, Heather Morris, and Marina Boucher.
