I know that many members of our community are experiencing worry and uncertainty right now. I want to acknowledge these feelings and reaffirm our commitment to caring for every child and family with dignity, respect and compassion.
At this time, we are not aware of any immigration enforcement activity connected to our schools. Our daily procedures will remain in place to help maintain a secure environment and provide consistent support for our students. We also have protocols to guide our response in the event immigration enforcement arrives, always guided by the law and our commitment to the dignity and rights of our students.
This is a very stressful, confusing, and upsetting time. Please reach out to our student services staff if we can help. Assistant Superintendent Dr. Kim O’Donnell, Director of Multilingual Programs Regina Clement, and I are available to answer any questions or concerns as well. Our school community is strong and is a place where everyone belongs and is valued. We thrive because of the people we are and the ways we take care of each other, especially in the most challenging times.

The Westbrook High School Winter-Holiday concert is underway and absolutely wonderful! Lots of holiday cheer on a cold winter's night!
WHS Winter Concert is going on now. What amazing performances and even some special guests. Bravo!
Lots of music this week in Westbrook! Grade 7 and 8 concert tonight, Grade 6 concert on Tuesday, and WHS concert on Thursday. All concerts begin at 6. Everyone is welcome!
Thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday morning for the Celebration Parade honoring our State Champion football team and our State and New England Champion Marching Band and Color Guard! Lots of Blue Blazes pride!
Unfortunately, with the impending weather forecast, our presenter has asked that we cancel the STAR PARTY on 12/10/25. We will be planning an alternate space-themed event INSIDE in the upcoming weeks, as we can't seem to avoid inclement weather. Stay tuned for details about the new event!

Our State Champion Blue Blazes Football Team toured the schools today to show everyone their Championship Trophy and to give all of our students and staff a chance to join in the celebration. Thank you Blazes - we loved celebrating you!

As we move into colder weather, we’re looking back at the art department’s fall projects and experiences—from still lifes to multi-media sculpture, textile artwork, digitally produced designs, and more. Across the district, students have been building skills, gaining background in art history, experimenting with materials, and strengthening their visual literacy skills. We’re proud of their hard work, creativity, and imagination this season!
The School Nutrition Department is proving a free lunches, fresh produce, and boxes of food for students and families on Wednesday, November 26, 11am-1pm at the WHS Gym Lobby, 125 Stroudwater Street. Many of these items were donated in our Stuff a Bus events at Hannaford the last two Saturdays. Please stop by!
