Mrs. Downing's kindergarten cougars have been studying the lifecycle of lady bugs and butterflies. The lady bugs that they have been observing hatched over the weekend, and they just recently released them!
Check out our Sea Dog’s Most Improved Students! These cougars were nominated by teachers, and they received a certificate and a Sea Dog’s ticket to celebrate! Today our fourth grade cougars took a walking field trip to Mill Brook Preserve for lunch! They even had a surprise guest join them…Mrs. Nugent!

Today Congin had an epic College Knowledge: Teachers against Students challenge to see who had the most knowledge about college. After varying rounds, the students came out on top! Great job, Cougars!
Just a reminder… come to the Mad Science event this evening at 5:30pm at the Westbrook High School Auditorium. The presentation is about Space Science. There will be free books for all! This is a free event for families!
Congin Cougars fly drones! In STEAM, Mrs. Gaulrapp is teaching students how to fly drones. Students carefully navigated the drones to land in a hula hoop in the gym. This required a lot of perservance and problem solving!

Happy Earth Day! These second grade cougars from Mrs. Townsend’s class made some Earth Day seed balls and Ms. Preston’s class spent some time outside cleaning up our school!

Mrs. Townsend’s second grade class has been hatching chickens! They have hatched 11 chicks and all are strong and thriving! Such an engaging and fun project for our cougars!

We have our first chick to hatch in Mrs. Townsend’s second grade class! Classrooms around the school got to watch the “chick camera” to see if any other eggs would hatch. We’ll see if any others join us tomorrow!
Our Congin Cougar assembly to roll out our new theme of courage!
Congin is having our own version of March Madness! Various teachers have recorded themselves reading books with the theme of perseverance and each day, students listen to two books. Students choose their favorite as a class, and we announce the winner each day on the morning announcements. We will keep going until we have just 1 winner!
When it’s the MLB opening day, Congin Cougar Staff show up with their baseball attire!
