Congin Cougars are inclusive! This month, we are working on the theme of inclusivity and students are filling out bingo sheets with a variety of inclusive actions. We have a goal of 200 bingo sheets by the end of the month. Check out Antonio from Mrs. Townswnd’s 3rd grade class who was the first Congin Cougar to finish his inclusive bingo board!

Today we had the Ned Show join us at Congin as we celebrate meeting our goal for our perseverance challenge! NED is an acronym that stands for Never Give Up, Encourage Others, and Do Your Best! This engaging assembly teaches students how they can persevere and work hard!

Check out our 4th grade civil rights team! Yesterday, our cougars got to walk the Portland Freedom trail and learn a little bit about Portland history. Finally, they ended their day with lunch at Otto’s pizza! Thank you to Mrs. Richardson for making this field trip happen!

Check out these 3rd grade cougars from Ms. Doherty’s class who did a research project using the Who was books. These cougars then created posters sharing fun facts about the person that they chose, and they got to got to make cut outs to replicate the cover of their books! Nice job third graders!

First day of Spring is the perfect day to start some egg incubation in Mrs. Townsend’s third grade class! Students were involved in putting the eggs in the incubator and they will be closely observing each day. Students will be writing about their observations, and they will learn more about the egg hatching process!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Check out Mrs. Armstrong’s first grade cougars who designed and created leprechaun catchers! Throughout the day, classes and teachers came to visit the classroom and students explained how their contraption would catch a leprechaun. Nice work, cougars!
