Tomorrow is National School Nurse Day and we are so lucky to have our amazing nurse Melody Heath to fix boo-boos and belly aches for our students when they are at school! She is truly one of a kind! 🩺🩹

Our 3rd and 4th Graders begin the Through Year Assessments this week. Please be sure they get a good night's sleep, eat breakfast at home or at school and are on time to school on test days . Tardy students will have to make up assessments. We also ask that they take their time and try their hardest! Thank you! 😊

One Westbrook is hosting a Community Conversation and Pot Luck on Saturday, May 6, 1-3 pm at St. Anthony's Church hall on Brown Street. Come and meet your neighbors and share your thoughts and experiences that make Westbrook a great community! All are welcome, and interpreters will be present.

The dental clinic will be held at Congin from 5/2-5/5. All students who have submitted permission forms will be seen by dental clinic staff. If you wish for your student to participate, but have not completed the permission form please email Melody Heath at heathme@westbrookschools.org.

Reminder: There is a half day of school on Thursday, April 13. Westbrook Middle School will dismiss students at 10:15am, Westbrook High School will dismiss students at 10:25am, and Congin, Canal, and Saccarappa will dismiss students at 11:30am. Also, vacation begins on Friday, April 14 through next week. Classes resume on April 24. We hope you have a great vacation, time filled with safe travel, good books, and rest and relaxation.

Reminder - Next Thursday, April 13, 2023, is an early release day for school and family conferences. Students will be dismissed at 11:30am. 🚌 There is no school on Friday, April 14, 2023, as school vacation begins that day. ☀️ We are back to school on April 24. 🚌

This just in! There is a free event tomorrow night 6-8pm at the WPAC about the impact of social media use on young people. We are seeing an increasing number of Congin students using social media and are witnessing the adverse, sometimes hurtful, impact it is having on them. We hope this free event can be helpful to Congin families and students, particularly in Grade 3 and 4, as students explore this aspect of life.
