Last night our Den Ambassadors presented at the school committee. Students shared that they learned that January was School Committee Appreciation Month, and Mr. Bisson taught them what the school committee does for the schools in our district. Students then completed a project to show their appreciation to the school committee members by creating a word cloud that they framed for each member of the committee. The students did a fantastic job!

We will have another two hour delayed start of school in Westbrook today. This will give crews time to plow and treat streets, sidewalks, and school lots. As you know, a two hour delay means that schools will open two hours after the regular time and buses will pick up students about two hours after their usual time. There are no before school activities and there will be no PreK classes. Be safe today!

Roads are very icy this morning but they are being treated and expected to improve. Because of this, we will have a two hour delayed start of school in Westbrook today, January 25. That means that schools will open two hours after their scheduled times and buses will pick up students about two hours after their usual time. There are no before school activities and PreK classes are canceled. Please be careful walking and driving this morning!

4th grade cougars are doing a project through Sole Hope to benefit the children of Uganda who are in need of shoes to prevent infection and pain caused by jiggers. In order to complete this project, they need your help! Students are in need of non-skinny, non-stretch, adult sized jeans. Your jeans will end up becoming shoes! If you have any jeans that you would be willing to donate, please send them to school with your child! They can deliver them to the office. Thank you for your support in this project. The students are very excited.
