Westbrook Regional Vocational Center is incredibly proud of students Evan Gilbert and Vladan Napijalo, who recently represented both the State of Maine and WRVC at the Junior Achievement USA National Titan Challenge, held at Boston University from June 7–11.
The JA Titan Challenge is a highly competitive business simulation competition that provides students with the opportunity to apply critical thinking, financial literacy, teamwork, strategic planning, and decision-making skills in a real-world business environment. Students compete against top teams from across the country while managing virtual companies and making complex business decisions that impact profitability, growth, and long-term success.
Throughout the week, Evan and Vladan participated in workshops, attended an interactive career expo, connected with peers from across the United States, and gained valuable insights from business and industry professionals. They also had the opportunity to visit RSM, a leading assurance, tax, and consulting firm, where they learned more about the company, explored career pathways, and gained firsthand exposure to the professional world.
In addition to the competition itself, students enjoyed outstanding hospitality, great food, exciting activities, a gala, and plenty of JA and other corporation donors' swag while building connections with fellow future business leaders from around the nation.
A special thank you goes to Junior Achievement of Maine and Junior Achievement USA for providing such an exceptional experience and for creating opportunities that inspire and empower the next generation of business professionals. We are also grateful to Ms. Boody Billings for her collaboration with Junior Achievement to help open doors for our students and for making experiences like this possible.
Most importantly, Evan and Vladan represented WRVC with professionalism, integrity, and kindness throughout the entire event. They were outstanding ambassadors for our school, treating everyone they met with respect and demonstrating the character, leadership, and maturity that make us so proud.
