Med Occ students with the help of ECOE, & Crim J accept BBCH Award!

Kara Jaques, Barbara Bush Children's Hospital Philanthropy Coordinator, visited WRVC today to recognize the Medical Occupations program and their helpers for all they did to make a difference for the Child Life department at BBCH. In September and October, the Med Occ program embarked on their annual act of kindness making 10,000 goodie bags with the help of CDL, Criminal Justice, and the Early Childhood Education Occupations (ECOE) students and teachers. The 10,000 bags were sold at five Spirit Halloween stores. The five Spirit Halloween stores collected $127,055! This was a shocking amount... we were all beyond excited to hear how much was raised when Ms. Jaques presented the students with the total on an oversized check.

Many thanks to our Medical Occupations teachers, Ms. Lewis and Ms. Sherburne, for providing this opportunity to their students and to our school community. We are deeply proud of all who helped with this goodie bags project.
