WMS is pleased to announce that Mr. Frank Lynham, 8th grade science teacher is the 2022-23 Teacher of the Year!
Frank is a fierce advocate for his students, a very strong colleague and a lifelong learner. His classes are engaging and active. Over the years, he has really broadened his repertoire to create relevant lessons that have students thinking and acting like scientists. He has high standards and maintains a rigorous learning experience to ready his students for high school level science. Frank contributes to the larger WMS community through coaching, furthering his relationship building with students. He has excellent classroom management, balancing humor, expectations and the boundaries middle school students need to feel safe and supported. As a colleague, he is generous in sharing his expertise with others while also open to learning new ways of doing things from them. He pitches in without being asked and dedicates himself to the cause of making WMS a positive place to learn and work. Frank is a force; kids and staff alike all benefit from knowing and working with Mr. Lynham.
