Juneteenth flyer

WMS is proud to have a group of our 6th grade students playing a part in this year's Juneteenth celebration.  They have been meeting all year, discussing issues of equity in our school.  Their focus has been primarily on raising awareness and celebrating our student body's diversity.  For the Juneteenth celebration, they will be hosting a Black Girl Hair Celebration & Discussion table with posters, drawings, artifacts, and other information about the cultural importance of Black girl hair.  Come out and see their work, talk about some beautiful hair styling techniques and even get a free gift!
