Congratulations to the Westbrook Blue Blazes Girls Varsity Basketball Team, who won their first playoff game against the Massabesic Mustangs on Thursday. With just over 6m:30s left in the third quarter, the game was tied 20-20. Then the Blazes embarked upon one of the greatest and most dominant runs in school history. By the time there was 2m left in the game, the score was 50-22. That's a 30-2 run down the stretch to put the game on ice and clinch a spot in the Quarterfinals versus defending state champion South Portland. That game will be on Tuesday, 2/17, at 1:00pm at the Portland Expo. Come out and cheer on the Blazes!
