MPA Award 2025

The MPA Principal’s Award was established in 1984 to recognize students for academic excellence and good citizenship. Each MPA member school names a senior class student as its annual award recipient. Award winners and their principals are invited to an Honors Luncheon each spring. Each student receives a plaque and lapel pin in recognition of their achievement. The WHS Class of ‘25 MPA Award winner is Lance Whitehead!

Lance is a 3 sport athlete – Soccer, Swimming, and Tennis – who also participates on the Math Team, Trivia Team, National Honor Society, and Civil Air Patrol, to name a few. He is an award winning soccer referee and an avid hiker of trails across Maine and New Hampshire, and even the 37 other US states he has visited.

Lance Whitehead is a tremendous scholar, athlete, and (most importantly) person. Westbrook High School is a better place as a result of Lance's myriad contributions. Congratulations to Lance and his family on this outstanding honor.
