WHSVB

Last night, the WHS Volleyball team held a Dig Pink game to honor breast cancer awareness month. Kim Verrill and local salon Blonde and Co. sponsored the night by providing t-shirts, bows, and a beautiful gift basket to be raffled off. Brook City Nutrition also donated some pink drinks for the team to enjoy during the post-game celebration. Not only did the Blazes win, bringing our overall record to 7-5 (both the best record and first ever winning record in program history), but the program also raised $255 to donate to Foundation 4 Love, a Maine-based organization whose mission is to assist with holistic and integrative wellness services that impact cancer patients. Junior parent Tracey Sardella was a huge help in organizing the event.

Under coach Nancy Ryan, this team has grown from a club team to a thriving varsity program in a matter of only four years. A huge shoutout to this year's coaching staff for continuing to bring WHSVB to new heights. Coach Ryan, Coach Wescott, and Coach Cerullo are all outstanding as individuals. As a collaborative staff, they are an absolute dream team.

Go Blue! (And pink!)
