Mrs. Statczar's first grade class adopted a troop of 15 army soldiers stationed overseas. They began by sending cards and letters for Veteran's Day and opted to continue through April which is the remainder of the troop's deployment.
This week, Mrs. Statczar's students collected donations, wrote cards, and assembled holiday care packages to send to their troop.
The students were very proud of their accomplishments and even at just 6-7 years old, they have already made quite an impact on others. Well done, First Graders!
