Good Morning Congin Cougar Families,
Happy Wednesday! Can you believe we are in the final week of January? I hope you all have been able to stay warm and safe with the colder temperatures and all of the snow we received. We have a lot of things going on at Congin, so here are some updates for this week:
It is Wednesday, so that means it is an early release day! Students will be dismissed at 2:20pm.
Our cougars are still working on the theme of having a growth mindset for the month of January. Students are earning paw stickers whenever they show having a growth mindset, and we have a goal of 500! This is our last week to earn those stickers!
We have a Congin Happy Wheels Night on Friday, January 30th from 5-7pm. Each skater is $11. We hope to see you there!
Our teachers are finishing up report cards this week. Report cards will be sent home on Friday, so be on the lookout.
We will be having a literacy night at Congin on Thursday, February 5th from 5:30-6:30pm. Come enjoy some cookies, hot cocoa, and enjoy a night full of reading and fun literacy activities with some of Congin's teachers!
We are already getting ready for our incoming kindergarteners! If you are someone you know has a student that will be coming to kindergarten for the 26-27 school year, please help to spread the word! Our Information Night for incoming kindergarten families will be on February 26th from 6:00-7:00pm. Registration for students will also start on February 26th. You must register your child before you can schedule a screening! Our kindergarten screening dates will be on March 27th and March 30th. Please contact us if you have any questions.
There will be no school for our current kindergarten students on March 27th and 30th.
Did you know that we have monthly food tastings in our cafeteria for students? On February 4th, students will be encouraged to try roasted beets! I can't wait to see what our Congin Cougars think!
