Cougars

Good Morning Congin Cougar Families,

Happy Wednesday! I am hoping that this email finds you well and that your week is off to a great start!

Our cougars have been getting into the routine of school and have been working hard. It's been so great to go into classrooms and see community building happening through morning meetings and other engaging activities, and our cougars have jumped right into the academics! Here are some updates for this week:

  1. It is Wednesday, so that means it is an early release day. Students will be getting on buses at 2:20 and parent pick up will start at 2:25.

  2. Thank you to all of you who attended our PTO meeting on Monday. It's so great to have the community involved in helping our school and teachers, so if you are interested in being a part of the PTO, reach out to conginschoolpto@gmail.com or come to a meeting! Meetings happen every 2nd Monday of the month from 5:30-7:00pm in the Congin cafeteria. As those dates get closer, I will send out reminders, and I will also provide a virtual link if you would like to attend virtually!

  3. Our cougars are focusing on responsibility this month, and they are earning responsibility paws to add to our posters around the school! They are doing a fantastic job, as the posters are already getting filled with stickers. We have a goal of 400 paw stickers by the end of the month, so I know we can do it!

  4. Want to support Congin and our PTO? On September 21st, Twin Swirls will be donating 20% of the day's proceeds to our PTO! So bring your family, get some amazing ice cream, and help our PTO raise money to support our students and teachers!  PTO volunteers will be there from 3-6pm.

  5. Please make sure to turn in those beginning of the year forms to Congin if you have not already.

  6. Speaking of forms, we are going to be sending home Census forms that show contact information for you and your child. This includes addresses, phone numbers, emails, and emergency contacts. If anything has changed or if you would like to add an emergency contact, please mark it on the form and return it to the school. If nothing has changed, please simply recycle the form. Thank you for your help on this.

  7. Check out the attached flyer if you would like to get your child involved in basketball this year through Paper City Hoops!

  8. It's a great day to be a cougar!

Sincerely,

Marc Bisson
