Kindness

Today we had an assembly where we celebrated our work with empathy and rolled out our new theme of kindness! For the month of November, we showed empathy by having a snack drive to help support the Locker Project. We set a goal of 350 snacks, and we were able to donate 4,250 snacks! These snack will support students all over Westbrook.

We then rolled out our new theme of kindness. Students learned what it means to be kind from Mrs. Woolworth. We presented a new challenge for students where they will be earning kindness snowflakes for the month of December for each time that they are caught being kind. We ended our assembly with author Todd Parr joining us via Google Meet to read to students and talk about what he does as an author. Todd Parr even read his Kindness Book to students and students were able to ask him questions!
