The Scholastic Book Fair is beginning soon, so here are some more details for you below!
Also, if you come into the school for the book fair, be sure to take a walk around the school to experience our Around the World Multicultural Door Tour! Our students and staff are decorating classroom doors to share our cultural backgrounds with each other. Students are already having so much fun with this and we can't wait to see how all of the doors come out!
Book Fair FAQs
Can parents come?
Yes, if parents want to come to Congin outside of school hours our librarian will be in the Congin Library on Monday and Tuesday (April 10th and 11th) from 3:30pm-5:30pm, and on Thursday (April 13th, our half day) from 12pm-3:30pm. Otherwise parents can shop online with the online book fair link: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/conginelementaryschool.
When will students have time to shop?
During their regularly scheduled library time. If students don’t bring money, they will have other activities to do during this time.
I don’t want my kids carrying around cash, is there an alternative?
Yes! There is an eWallet that families can set up for their students at this link:https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/conginelementaryschool. An eWallet is similar to Venmo or Apple Pay, but our librarian will be able to look up each individual student account from her cash register and use money that way instead of handling cash! Parents can also donate to their child's classroom eWallet, if their teacher sets one up. :)
