Homeschooling

Parents/guardians who wish to have their children fulfill the compulsory school attendance law through equivalent education by home schooling which must comply with the provisions of 20-A MRSA § 5001-A (4)

Parents / guardians must register with the Maine Department of Education via the online form:  https://neo.maine.gov/doe/neo/StudentData/HomeSchools/Schools/Index 

or by downloading and submitting the completed form to the Maine Department of Education and providing the  district Superintendent of Schools with a copy.

If you are interested in having your homeschooled student participate in any school classes, programs, sports or activities, here are ways to submit your request.
