Library

Welcome to the Canal Library

Welcome to our beautiful library learning space! I look forward to helping your student become a critical thinker, enthusiastic reader, skillful researcher, and ethical user of information!

The libraries of the Westbrook school department promote the development of independent reading habits and multiple literacy skills. Our students will become critical readers who acquire, evaluate, and ethically use gathered information to solve problems and investigate topics of interest.

To facilitate this mission, we will provide available, flexible, and inviting learning spaces and access to updated digital and print resources that represent diverse perspectives. Library specialists will collaborate with teachers and administrators to design learning experiences that support district goals and curriculum objectives. We encourage everyone in our communities to be readers!
