PRIDES CORNER SCHOOL
A Message From the
Principal Janet Crawford
I am thrilled to welcome you to a great year
of teaching and learning in the Prides
Corner School community! As your principal,
I look forward to working together in
partnership with you and helping your child
become the most successful learner possible.
At Prides Corner School, we recognize that
every child is unique and may be at
different stages of development. When they
join us in pre-kindergarten or kindergarten,
they have had four or five years of
development under your love and care.
Together we can build upon your successes to
ensure that your children's first school
experiences are positive, meaningful and
productive. Student learning is at the heart
of what we do at Prides Corner School, and
we have high expectations, both academically
and socially, but we never forget that these
are very young children. We build upon the
natural curiosity that young children bring
to school, and we hope to cultivate a sense
of belonging at the school where children's
ideas, questions, concerns, hopes, and
dreams are heard and taken seriously.
Community service is an important aspect of
learning for students at our school so that
they will know the fulfillment that comes
from giving of oneself to help others. Our
doors are always open and we invite you to
share your ideas and feedback with us.
I encourage you to become involved through
volunteering in the classroom as your
schedule allows, and also by joining our PTO
(Parent Teacher Organization) to enjoy your
child's school years to the fullest! I look
forward to an exciting, fun-filled year of
learning with you and your children at
Prides Corner School!
