A Message From the Principal Jeremy Ray
 
Welcome to Canal School. It is with great enthusiasm that we begin another school year.  Canal School has long been known for being a place where students can learn in a safe, positive and caring environment.  Our staff is dedicated to fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere for students and their families. 
 
We place great emphasis on our academic program and making sure that it is structured in such a way as to suit each students individual needs.  We believe that all students must be allowed and encouraged to learn in ways that build knowledge as well as build self-esteem.  Our goal to consistently provide an academic program that is both challenging and motivating.
 
Throughout the year we provide various opportunities for parents and families to come together with the school community for different activities.  We have parent lunches on a regular basis to give parents the opportunity to sit and eat lunch with their child and talk about school.  We also partner with different community groups to provide opportunities for our students and families to help the citizens of Westbrook through food drives and other community based initiatives.
